Mussoorie Mountain Biking Trips  

 

Bike and explore the Queen of hills at your own place visiting the popular and some of the hidden gems this quaint colonial town has to offer. 

 

We start from the Mall Road making our way through the windings of the Camel back’s road, soaking the tranquility of Buddhist temple on the way we also admire the gates of Lal Bahadur Shastri academy of administration. Going way the 10 km almost downhill stretch of Cart Mackenzie road is a sheer thrill. We cycle on beautiful roads and trails through jungles to We end the tour at the Char Dukaan, Landour Cantt. after admiring the array of shops at the Mall Road.

MTB Day-Trip: Gems of Mussoorie:Biking Day Tour of the Queen of Hills

Join us for a biking trip to explore the Queen of hills at your own place visiting the popular and some of the hidden gems this quaint colonial town has to offer. 

 

Highlights: 

 

It is a fully guided tour in which we explore the attractions of Mussoorie at a leisurely pace soaking the tranquility and serenity of nature

 

You get a majestic view of the Himalayas, the valley of Doon and Glimpses of Jungle on the tour

 

Discover the purity of Mountain air in your lungs and the Joy refreshments after a leisurely ride. 

 

Attractions enroute: Camel Back Road, LBS Academy Gate, Happy Valley, Company Garden, Hathipaon, Cart Mackenzie road (Lambidhar Mines), ITBP Academy, Picture Palace and the amazing snow-cap views of the Himalaya 

 

Duration: 4 - 5 hours 

Timings: 8:00 AM - 12:00 NOON

Total Distance Covered: 28kms

 

Participants: 5 Max  

Min Age: 12 Years

 

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate

Experience Required: Average fitness with basic cycling knowledge 

Inclusions: Geared MTB with disc-brakes, guide fee and refreshments

 

Though his collection is impressive, it’s not easy to maintain; the photographs need to be aired regularly; Bhardwaj keeps each wrapped separately in plastic. “I hope the government will allocate a museum or space in the city hall where the cache can be preserved,” he says. While he waits for that to happen, he is busy these days lending the finishing touches to a large-format book on the 200-year history of Mussoorie.

Rs. 2,300/- (Plus 5% GST) Per Person for 4-5 Hrs and 20-30 Kms Trip

This cost does Not Include train/air fare, local transport (cabs/coaches/etc), any unspecified meals, bottled water, or any other expenses not mentioned in the programme.

 

Note: Groups range from min 2 to 5 pax per batch. We limit people to small size group per batch in order to make the trip experience more effective.

IDEALLY BRING: 

 

Sun hat: Cotton/Nylon

Sunglasses: Preferably with an Anchor

Sun protection Lotion 

Water bottle: 2 Bottles of 1 litre capacity. Please insure that they do not leak. Hydration pack (optional)

Wrist watch: Is a must for trips

Headlamp/ flashlight: Preferably a headlamp as it leaves your hands free to work. Please bring extra batteries

Rain wear: Rain Poncho, Rain Pants & Rain Jackets

Toilet articles: Toothbrush, toothpaste, items of personal hygiene, etc

Pocket knife: Optional, fixed blade or locking preferred

Personal medications: If any, please also carry your doctor’s prescription and fill out our Medical History form. 

Lip balm/ chapstick or Moisturiser             

Camera/ Phone: Optional

Any other personal gear: Please note you will be carrying all your gear by yourself

Comfortable and Athletic clothing (rain proof/ wind-proof)

Wool gloves: 1 Pair

Warm Jacket: 1 Jacket (woollen/ fleece)

Warm shirts & pants: 1 Pair (synthetic or waterproof track pants)

Thermal Inner-wear: Bottom & Top 

Hiking pants: 1 Pair

Hiking shirt preferably with a Long sleeve

Underwear: 3/4 Changes

Woollen/ Nylon socks: 2/3 Pairs

Hiking shoes: 1 Pair (High-ankle waterproof trekking shoes with good grip)

Slippers/ Sandals: For wearing in camp. Footwear should be closed toed. (No flip-flops)
